Why Does God Take the Name of Almighty God in the Age of Kingdom?

A lot of people don’t understand why, since Almighty God is the return of the Lord Jesus in the last days, the Lord Jesus is called Almighty God when He comes to do the work of judgment in the last days. Why doesn’t He carry on being called the Lord Jesus? In fact, God has a new name each time He does a stage of His work. This new name is taken by God Himself as befits the work—it is not something that people call Him as they please.

Many people from all denominations who sincerely believe in the Lord and yearn for His appearance have heard God’s voice and have begun to follow Almighty God. This cannot help but elicit extreme panic from the leaders of the religious world; they fear that the believers will all start believing in Almighty God and will no longer worship or follow them, and so they disseminate all kinds of rumors and fallacies to condemn God’s work of the last days, and they bind and restrict brothers and sisters from seeking and studying the true way. Many brothers and sisters are without discernment, they believe these rumors and outright lies and dare not study the true way.

The first person who preached Almighty God’s gospel of the last days to me was one of my in-laws. I not only didn’t accept it but also called him blind. And in the next three years I gave him a cold shoulder every time I met him. I also took him as a negative example in my preaching to lecture the other believers, so as to prevent them from accepting the work of the last days of Almighty God.
